Asher Vaughn
Youth & Children's Ministry Intern at life community church
My name is Asher Vaughn, and at the core of who I am is a deep love for the Lord and a calling to Pastoral Ministry. I grew up in a Christian household, but my faith didn't truly take root there, it was forged through experience. In high school, I began volunteering in children's ministry with 1st through 6th graders, and it was in those rooms that something shifted in me. Watching young hearts encounter God, seeing the seeds of truth take hold in real time, those moments lit a fire in me that hasn't gone out since. Alongside that work, I was blessed with mentors who poured into my life with wisdom, patience, and genuine investment. Through their guidance and my time in ministry, I stopped inheriting a faith and started owning one. I came to know the Lord not as a tradition, but as a calling. In the summer of 2025, that calling became undeniable. God made it clear that Pastoral Ministry wasn't just a passion, it was a purpose He had placed on my life. Since then, I have been intentional about walking faithfully in that direction, seeking every opportunity to grow, serve, and be equipped. I don't take lightly whatever doors God opens before me. I am grateful, humbled, and eager, and I would be deeply honored by any support that helps carry this calling forward.
My summer internship responsibilities inluclude:

Preaching Development: Preach 3–4 times throughout the internship, complete the Art of Preaching course, and participate in weekly sermon prep and feedback.
