Cole Wilkinson

worship Leader at Pella Communities - Sunnyslope Mission

Hey there!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read a little about me and considering partnering with me and my local church in ministry. Your support, however you choose to do so, is more appreciated than you know!

While I’ve been volunteering and doing part-time worship for the last 6 years, I’ve been called to do full-time worship ministry at Pella Communities in Phoenix, Arizona. I’ve played music my whole life and never imagined myself being a worship leader, but as we all know, God often has plans for us that are much better than (and very different from) our own.

My passion for leading worship began working at a high school Christian summer camp in east Texas throughout college leading worship which then inspired me to get my degree in Worship Arts from Grand Canyon University. In this role as the Sunnyslope Mission Worship Leader, which began in January of this year, I have already seen the impact of sound theological worship and how it unites our congregation every Sunday. Being able to take part in providing our church with worship that is solely centered around glorifying God and pointing people back towards Jesus every week is such an honor.

Worship is much more than music, it’s what we were created to do and how we are called to live our lives. In this time I’ve been consistently reminded of Psalm 145:1-3, which says:

“I will extol you, my God and King, and bless your name forever and ever. Every day I will bless you and praise your name forever and ever. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable”.

Every day I am still learning how to live a life of worship but stepping into this role will allow me to continue growing in this while sharing the gospel and the love of Jesus Christ through music. How beautiful is it that God has given us the gift of music and that we get to use it to glorify Him!

Although this season has plenty of unknowns, I am certain that God will provide during this time and that it is and will always be used to grow the kingdom of Heaven. Nobody deserves to be in a position to lead the church, yet God, in His goodness and mercy, has called me to serve in this way. I humbly ask that you would consider joining me in this mission and calling through whatever means you can, financially or not! I am so excited to see how God uses this time and look forward to connecting with you!
