Jordan Williams

Founder & Counselor at Jarah City Counseling

For the last 11 years, I have worked with youth and families in various fields—first in teen pregnancy prevention, then as a Clinical Therapist after receiving my Master's in Counseling from ASU, and most recently as a Dean of Students focusing on mental and emotional wellness at a local middle/high school. Though I’ve been a professing Christian since childhood, my own understanding of how my faith can and should influence my vocation has been a more recent conviction.

Over the last few years, I’ve grown a longing to integrate the gospel more fully into my counseling practice—not to simply “season” therapy with Jesus when possible, but to truly rely on the Triune God to guide and inform the healing process in the counseling room.

Jarah City Counseling is a new ministry to do just this. Jarah is a Hebrew name meaning “honeycomb.” The vision for this ministry is grounded in Proverbs 16:24: “Gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body.”

My hope and prayer is that teens, young adults, and families in the Phoenix-area and beyond would experience true healing from brokenness related to emotional and relational hurts through gospel-centered counseling. Thank you for considering partnering with me to bring Jarah City Counseling to life!
