Tyler Hudgins

7TEN Intern at Redemption Church Gilbert

I am married to my wife Kelsey, and we have a “starter-kid” in our family. He is an affectionate and energetic golden retriever named Red — we’re learning a lot over here. Kelsey and I met at 7TEN, the young adult ministry. We currently serve in 7TEN as RC leaders and it remains my ministry focus as a member of staff.

My story is one of an atheist that rejected God. I lived a life of being self-actualized and independent. This all changed when a tragic experience in my life made me feel completely powerless over my circumstances — upon reflection that was God’s grace to bring me to that point. I felt God pulling me towards him in a feeling that was unmistakably like a tugging of my soul. For the first time, I realized my need for dependency on someone much greater than myself and I found that in the person of Jesus.

I am currently in the application process to pursue a Masters Degree at the Missional Training Center (MTC) in Missional Theology. My hope is to get equipped in pastoral ministry, so I can become a teaching pastor and love people well.
